Seeing Measurable Results From Forum Marketing Will Take Time And Effort
By Admin | December 8, 2008
For forum marketing to be truly effective in bringing targeted traffic to your website, you need to establish a rapport with that forum community.
Essentially, forum marketing is free in terms of money, but it will cost you some in terms of time. Because you need to build up rapport with the forum community in order for them to consider your information valuable and your product offers worthy of checking out, posting a few times at a forum will not lead to the results you are wanting.
In fact, most established forum members will be leery of new forum members and will be looking to see whether they can trust you and can rely on you to being a credible expert on topics related to that forum’s main topic. The only real way you can do that is by posting regularly to the forum and by providing useful information where appropriate.
Just posting “I agree,” “Yes,” or other similar posts will not be seen as being very useful; for established forum members to really trust you, you need to provide more detailed information that will prove to them that you are an expert in this topic and that they should strongly consider the information you present, and consequently, the product offer you mention in your signature file.
