Forum Marketing Can Help You Gain Targeted Traffic To Your Website
By Admin | January 29, 2009
Article marketing is not the only free method to help you gain targeted traffic to your website. Forum marketing, or marketing your offers via the forums, is another great and free method to help you gain targeted traffic to your website.
There is a very high number of forums on all sorts of topics, from sewing and cooking to Internet marketing and search engine optimization (SEO). Because of the high number of forums for most subjects, you have several forums to market to for free - all you have to do is register as a member.
Once you become a member to a forum, you should take some time to evaluate how the members of that forum treat new members and how they treat each other in general. If those members are friendly and willing to learn, it’s much easier to ingratiate yourself to them and make it likelier for them to consider and purchase your product offers.
Like article marketing, the key to forum marketing is utilizing the signature file to the best of your ability. For instance, you should always allow for your signature to show after you make a post. If your post is meaningful and informative, chances are, the readers of that thread will likely check out your site, subscribe to your list, and eventually, purchase your product offers.
Of course, it helps to create an informative signature file that will tell the other forum members what you and your website are all about.

Differences Between Targeted And Untargeted Traffic
By Admin | January 25, 2009
To succeed in online business, you need many elements:
- Domain Name
- Dedicated Web Hosting
- Reliable Autoresponders
- A consistent flow Of Traffic
- Convincing Sales Copy
- Etc.
Regarding the traffic element mentioned above, this is critically important to your online success. Without traffic coming to your website, it won’t matter if you have any or all of the other elements, as no one will know about your website and learn of your product offer.
However, there is a specific type of traffic that will greatly increase your chances at online success, and that type of traffic is known as “targeted traffic.”
Targeted traffic is where the traffic that comes to your web page is interested in your product offer from the moment he/she arrives at your web page. Conversely, “untargeted traffic” is where the traffic that comes to your web page is not interested in your product offer from the time he/she arrives at your web page.
Naturally, it will be much easier to convert targeted traffic into buyers than it would converting untargeted traffic into buyers. Targeted traffic will have an initial interest in a product or service you are offering; they may even have come to your website because they were specifically looking for something similar to what you are offering.
Untargeted traffic will likely have just stumbled onto your website by accident, perhaps confusing your domain name with something else they were looking for or thinking your website would be about something else. When they get to your web page, they will likely leave just as quickly because the subject matter you are dealing with does not interest them.

Employ Affiliates To Help Boost The Traffic To Your Site And The Sales You Make
By Admin | January 21, 2009
To gain targeted traffic to your website, it’s vital that you get the word out about your product offers as much as possible. However, even if you work tirelessly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, do you really think you’ll be able to reach your entire target market on the Internet yourself? Certainly the answer is “no.”
For one thing, virtually no one works 24 hours a day every day; after all, we are not robots. We need to eat, sleep, be with other people, and take time out for ourselves, etc. But even if you work 16, 18, or even 20 hours a day, you yourself still won’t reach your entire target market - that’s how large the market is online. It encompasses the entire world, not just your backyard or even your own country.
Therefore, what can you do to capture more of your target market, as capturing more of your target market will lead to more sales, and consequently, more profits? Have other people spread the word about your product offers!
You can create your own affiliate program that will employ other people to advertise your product offers and spread the word about your company. This is advantageous for because there will be more than just you promoting your own products/services, while it will also be advantageous for them because they will earn a percentage of every sale they make (usually over 50%). As a result, it’s a win-win for everyone.

Using Key Phrases And Long-Tail Keywords Can Save You A Great Deal Of Money When Utilizing PPC Ads In Your Marketing Efforts
By Admin | January 17, 2009
Pay-Per-Click advertising can be a great paid method to gain more targeted traffic to your website. It’s expected that those who are clicking on those advertisements are those who are really interested in the niche and industry you serve. As a result, you should gain many subscribers, and consequently, buyers for your product offers.
However, it can become quite costly if you do not know what you are doing with PPC advertising or if you are determined to gain the most popular keywords, since many marketers want those same keywords for the targeted traffic they can gain from having high listings under those keywords.
A better approach to PPC advertising can be to go for search terms that people will use to find offers similar to yours, but that may not be the most popular keywords to use. There are software programs out there that can help you deduce related keywords from more popular keywords. In addition, entering in key phrases, or long-tail keywords, can also be beneficial to gaining ads that will be shown in front of interested people without spending a fortune on advertising costs. Instead of paying $1-$2 for every click, you might only pay $0.30-$0.50 per click, essentially getting 4-6 targeted visitors to your site for the price of 1 or 2 targeted visitors under a more popular keyword.
Therefore, it is more advantageous to go for key phrases and long-tail keywords that people will use to find your site, but that aren’t so obviously popular that you’ll have to spend a small fortune in order to get that targeted traffic to your website.

All Marketing Aspects Of An Online Forum Depend On How Much Valuable Content You Can Provide To The Other Forum Members
By Admin | January 14, 2009
While the main point of forum marketing is to write enticing and informative posts that other forum members will find useful and convince them that you are an expert on that topic, there are other ways to gain targeted traffic from forum marketing.
Most established forums have other sections besides a discussion forum. Many forums will allow you to post free ads, especially after you have made a specific number of posts. You should take advantage of this and consider it free advertising.
Again, though, the effectiveness of these free advertisements will only be as good as how well you are able to establish a positive relationship with the members of that forum - if you don’t provide enough relevant and useful information to the members of that forum, they will likely ignore the advertisements you write.
Therefore, it is vitally important that you present yourself well at the forums you become a member of, not only by following the rules of that forum, but also by providing valuable content that will make the other forum members stand up and take notice of you when you are actively participating in the forum. This is the only sure way of gaining targeted traffic from forum marketing, and that of course is the main reason why you are becoming a member of these forums in the first place.

Consider Rewarding Your Affiliates For Sending A Specific Number Of Targeted Visitors To Your Website
By Admin | January 11, 2009
To gain the most benefits from your affiliate sales force, it’s important to keep them motivated and happy, as this is what will lead to greater profits for you and your business.
Normally, an affiliate will only make profit if he/she converts a prospect into a buyer. What you could consider doing to help motivate your affiliates to keep sending targeted traffic to your site is to provide a bonus (cash, access to a product, or some other valuable item) after they have sent so much targeted traffic to your website that have subscribed to your newsletter.
Being that this targeted traffic has signed up to your newsletter, presuming you have good follow-up systems in place, you will likely make profit from them many years down the line, even after the tracking cookies that determine which affiliate sent you that prospect have expired (unless you employ tracking cookies that have no time limit), so you could afford to reward your affiliates that send you the most targeted leads by offering a bonus to them.
This way, if they don’t earn that much profit from affiliate sales, you could help to show your appreciation for sending 1,000 or 5,000 visitors to your site by giving them an extra $20, $50, or $100.
After all, you will continue to earn from those new subscribers for the foreseeable future; unless the affiliates gain their contact information before leading them to your website, they will likely lose contact with them forever, so consider showing your appreciation to your affiliates by rewarding them for sending much targeted traffic to your website. This will encourage your affiliates to keep sending more targeted traffic to your website, even if they aren’t making a great deal of affiliate profits from sending that targeted traffic to your website.

PPC Advertising Can Be A Great Way To Gain Targeted Traffic To Your Website, As The People Who Click On Those Sponsored Ads Or Links Are Usually Highly-targeted Visitors. With The Proper Follow-up, You Should Be Able To Convert Them Into Subscribers Easily, And Eventually, Gain Many Sales From Them.
By Admin | January 7, 2009
However, PPC advertising can get quite expensive if you don’t know how to manage your PPC advertising campaigns. Obviously, if you spend too much money on getting targeted visitors to your website, you’ll be eating up most, if not all, of the potential profits you can make from your new subscribers. That will destroy the main reason you’re utilizing PPC advertising in the first place: To increase your profits, not to break-even or lose money.
Fortunately, you can set a daily limit on how much advertising cost you are willing to incur. Many marketers will set a $10-$20 daily limit; once your account has reached that limit, the ad or link is deactivated for that day, thereby negating any additional advertising cost you will incur.
This helps to keep a cap on your advertising expenditures from PPC advertising. This can also help to make sure that no click fraud, or people intentionally clicking your link, but having little to no interest in subscribing to your newsletter and/or purchasing your product offer, will occur and drain your advertising budget.
By utilizing that daily limit, you’ll maximize the results you get from PPC advertising while only spending as much as you want to spend.

Message Boards And Free-For-All Pages Are Not Worth The Time And Effort To Gain Targeted Traffic From Them
By Admin | January 4, 2009
You want to try to gain as much qualified traffic from as many different sources online as possible. You may be tempted to try to gain targeted traffic from message boards and free-for-all (FFA) pages.
However, you are likely better off not putting in the effort it would take to make those sources of traffic valuable to your business.
History shows that message boards and free-for-all pages don’t easily give you qualified traffic to your website because there are so many people trying to gain that targeted traffic that they constantly post on those pages, moving the previous posts down the page.
As a result, any advertisement you place on these sites will get moved off so quickly that very few people will see your ad before it goes off the page, and as a result, will lead to very little, if any, targeted traffic to your website.
If that wasn’t bad enough, you open yourself up to the possibility of spammers gaining your email address to send you spam, which will only take more time away from your busy schedule.
At an earlier time on the Internet, internet marketers could use message boards and free-for-all (FFA) sites to advertise their product offers on the Internet, but due to the fact that everyone jumped on the bandwagon and began posting their offers repeatedly, this free method of advertising is considered by most Internet marketers today to not be worth the effort it would take to gain any meaningful targeted traffic from them.

How Pay-Per-Click Advertising Works And Why It Can Be Costly For Popular Keywords
By Admin | December 31, 2008
There are many advertising methods, both free and paid, that can bring in a great deal of targeted traffic to your website. One of the most effective paid advertising methods is Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ads.
Pay-Per-Click ads are listings on search engines that require you to pay for a high ranking for specific keywords. When a user clicks on the ad, you pay for the cost per click (CPC). In return, it is usually a highly-targeted visitor who is visiting your website, and with the proper follow-up, should become a subscriber, and eventually, a customer of yours.
These listings are also known as “sponsored ads” or “sponsored links” and will usually appear above or to the side of those natural listings that occur because of how they naturally rank in the search engines for those specific keywords. This is why you need to pay for each user that clicks on your link - your site will show up on that first page regardless of how it would naturally rank in the search engines for those keywords.
It’s important to note that the more popular the keyword, the higher the cost-per-click you’ll likely have to pay for each visitor who clicks on your link. This is because many marketers want that high placement, so there is a great demand for that placement, and because of economics, the higher the demand and the lower the supply, the higher the price will be to take advantage of PPC ads.

How To Find Relevant Keywords And How Often You Should Use Them
By Admin | December 28, 2008
When establishing an online business, you need to gain as much targeted traffic as possible to your site. The search engines are a great free way to gain that targeted traffic to your site. However, to effectively utilize search engines in your business plans, you need to rank highly in the search engines for specific keywords people use to find product offers such as yours. As a result, you need to know what terms and keywords people use to find related product offers.
This will involve some research using a software program such as Good Keywords (which is free). You can then determine what keywords you should target when creating the content for your website.
Once you have learned what keywords you should use on your site, you should sprinkle them in consistently, but sparingly. A recommended guideline is to not use keywords more than 4-5 times every 300-400 words, or around 1% of your content. If you oversaturate your web pages with selected keywords, your web pages will likely not make much sense to those visiting the web pages, plus the search engines will likely penalize your site for using those keywords too often, as they will determine you are intentionally “stuffing” the keywords into your text. If you don’t use the keywords often enough, however, the search engines will probably not consider your site relevant enough to gain a high ranking for those keywords, so there is certainly a delicate balance you need to achieve to receive meaningful targeted traffic from search engines.
